Spring Break
THE SPRING BREAK INTENSIVE IMMERSION PROGRAM IN CUERNAVACA
Instituto Mexicano de Españól y Cultura offers programs especially designed for Spanish language students. Our staff is familiar with the most recent materials to teach Spanish. We welcome pre-arranged groups with a chaperone to study Spanish with us during breaks in the school year or during the summer months of July and August.
PROGRAM BENEFITS
- 25 hours of intensive classes focused on the four communicative skills and supporting grammatical structures + 25 hours of cultural activities to reinforce those skills
- Small classes limited to only five students
- Four all-day excursions
- Six afternoon cultural tours or guided activities
- 14 nights home-stay with wonderful Mexican families, shared room, with three meals a day
- All ground transportation, including round-trip bus/shuttle to Mexico City airport
- Farewell/graduation dinner at a downtown restaurant

PROGRAM INCLUDES:

Spanish Language Classes
Three hours daily, focused on the four main communicative skills (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension) and the supporting grammatical structures. Lessons feature interactive games, videos, and fun exercises.

Cultural Activities
Three hours daily, reinforcing the communicative skills through conversation, short courses, lectures and discussions on a great variety of topics, including arts and crafts, cooking, dancing, and learning Mexican songs. (These cultural activities are offered at no extra cost.)

Afternoons & Evenings (optional)
Visits to historic haciendas, movies, sports clubs, History Museum of Cuernavaca (Hernán Cortés’ Palace), Borda Gardens, Robert Brady Museum, and community service at an orphanage.

Daily Interaction with Mexican Family
We make every effort to place students in families with kids their own age whenever possible to help foster interaction and fun!

All-Day Excursions
Four all-day trips to nearby Tepoztlán, to the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacán, to the historic zócalo of Mexico City and its world-renowned Museum of Anthroplogy, and to the famous silver city of Taxco.
